The program features one of Chicago’s best known and most flamboyant Chicago journalists, Ray Hanania, as its host.

You are NOT just getting radio. “Mornings with Ray Hanania’s” reach is enhanced in many important ways:
In Print/Newspapers – Ray Hanania authors an award winning column that is published weekly in print on Chicago’s Southwest side and suburbs, and in exclusive columns that appear on the newspaper’s web site at www.SWNewsHerald.com.
On the Internet – The network of "The Ray Hanania Show" includes four main web sites with a cumulative visitor traffic averaging around 5,000 Views Per Day that include:
In a weekly Listener Newsletter – Ray sends out a newsletter to more than 1,600 recipients listing the show’s schedules, and also providing internet linked advertising space for show sponsors. The list is growing and listeners can easily and automatically subscribe to the newsletter from the Radio Chicagoland web page.
If that isn’t enough, Hanania’s opinion columns are syndicated throughout the United States and the world, including on the number one Internet web blog, the HuffingtonPost.com which “shirttails” his program, or, references Radio Chicagoland on the bottom of every column. He writes a weekly column for the prestigious Jerusalem Post Newspaper, and also for the Southwest News-Herald Newspaper, and several other major publications.
Ray Hanania is the winner of FOUR (4) Society of Professional Journalism Lisagor Awards for column writing and in-Depth reporting, including three in the last five years. He is frequently booked as a guest or commentator on Chicagoland political talk shows, and is quoted often in regional media. And adding a popular aspect to his show, Hanania is an accomplished standup comedian. Like everything else, Hanania didn’t enter comedy quietly but in an international blast when he locked horns with famed comedian Jackie Mason at Zanies Comedy Club in 2002. Hanania’s comedy advocates Middle East peace and not everyone likes that. Well, maybe his wife does. He’s Palestinian American, a veteran of Vietnam Era service and his wife and son are Jewish. |
